Camp Horizons

Camp Horizons is a co-ed residential camp for ages 6-17, nestled on 300 acres in the foothills of the Massanutten Mountain in the central Shenandoah Valley near Harrisonburg. Special programs include adventure camp for ages 15-17, equestrian camp for girls ages 8-12, and counselor in training for high school seniors. Optional activities at extra cost: horseback lessons, golf lessons, SCUBA diving, rock climbing, caving, river canoeing, and horseback trail rides.
New at Camp Horizons in 2011- Camp Up with People a collaborative effort between Horizons Learning Foundation and Up with People in an effort to reach high-school aged youth (ages 14-17) interested in performing arts, leadership and global citizenship. The purpose of Camp Up with People is to provide young people with an opportunity to explore their interests, develop their talents, and experience what traveling with Up with People would be like. The camp is residential, co-ed and three weeks long and will benefit from sharing the beautiful facilities and experienced staff at Camp Horizons (a traditional residential summer camp also in Harrisonburg, VA). Nestled on 200 acres of woodlands and meadows just outside of Harrisonburg, Massanetta Springs is an idyllic setting for a wide variety of events. We are a designated National Historic District and part of Virginia's Green Lodging program. Guests may reserve cabins, cottages, RV sites and hotel accommodations, a new lodge with guest rooms and a state-of-the-art conference.
